Building Inspection and Renovation FAQ

We carry out a full visual assessment of the property, including the interior, exterior, roof space and sub-floor where they are safely accessible. You receive a written report covering structural concerns, moisture and damp, roofing, cladding, windows and doors, decks, and any safety issues we find.

Most reports are emailed within 24 hours of the inspection. If you are bidding at auction on the weekend, tell us when you book and we will prioritise your report.

Our building inspections start at $400 + GST. Pricing is fixed and confirmed before the inspection, so there are no call-out fees or travel surcharges within the Melbourne metropolitan area.

We inspect right across greater Melbourne, from inner-city apartments and unit blocks through to family homes in the outer east, west and north. If you are unsure whether your property is in range, give us a call.

You are welcome to attend, and many buyers find it useful. If you cannot make it, we coordinate access with the agent or vendor and walk you through the findings by phone once the report is sent.

Yes. New-construction defect inspections are one of our core services. We document defects and incomplete work so you have a clear list to give your builder before you accept handover.

Yes. We inspect apartments, townhouses, units and commercial premises as well as free-standing houses. Common property observations are included where access allows.

Yes. We complete rapid make-safes after storm, water or impact damage, and we scope and deliver repairs in coordination with insurers and loss adjusters.
